It's super easy to verify whether or not it's working. All of this information has given me hope that the device is just a basic USB storage device with a fancy way of interacting with the software, instead of a HASP device with an internal chip to control the license key. The network security key is the password that must be entered if you wish to connect to a wireless network. If you plug the key into the computer, it acts as a normal USB drive and lets you transfer files on and off of it, which leads me to assume they're just using regular USB drives in a fancy manner. Do a google search for copy Security dongles and some pages should pop up to. You need to send your dongle in to a cloning company and they will do it for you. It may be used to protect LabVIEW based systems from being duplicated without permission, to unlock features in the software etc. there are several types that are on USB dongles. The WF 2007 from WireFlow is a USB Security dongle for all LabVIEW RT/FPGA targets with access to an USB port. I know that cloning these can be hit or miss depending on how locked down they are, but I'm hopeful about this one. While it IS possible to do, you need to know what 'flavor' of security your talking about. I want to make copies of the key, as the software is installed on multiple computers, but the company that developed the software wants $150 per key. I have a copy of some software that comes with a security USB key to act as a license. ![]()
